PGIMER, Chandigarh opened its two sites for Covid-19 vaccination on January 22. One of them is at NHE in PGIMER. These will be increased by the end of next week, so that frontline workers will also be included. The vaccination drive at PGIMER witnessed good response on January 22 with about 150 heathcare workers getting inoculated at the two vaccination centres functional at Advanced Paediatric Centre and Nehru Hospital Extension. Those who got the jab comprised of all categories of healthcare workers - from senior faculty to nursing officers to technical staff as well as hospital and sanitation attendants. The next drive at PGIMER will be held on January 25 and there is a likelihood that the number of centres will be increased by that time.
